Portable Bullet Trap Thorough Description:  

Bullet Trap/Steel Target, compact and portable. Great lead recovery ability for reloading or proper non-environmentally/wild-life harmful disposal. Great for wildfire protection! The Portable Bullet Traps design is meant to be minimalistic and compact but also meet realistic shooting conditions. The Portable Bullet Trap can be used in all three shooting positions standing, kneeling, or prone. This also includes multiple angles the Portable Bullet Trap can be placed at by adjusting individual telescoping leg heights (ex., simulating an enemy leaning around a corner).  

The Bullet Trap is compact and portable with telescoping legs that can be set up to meet any terrain (e.g., gravel, sand, dirt, asphalt, flat, sloped, humps or high spots, etc.). The Bullet Trap has leg sockets welded for a tripod base design. The telescoping legs have tension handles for tightening as the operator chooses their height adjustment. There are storage sockets welded to the Portable bullet Trap's collector tube for leg storage while transporting or storing he bullet trap. 

The Portable Bullet Trap has top and bottom tabs for access to using a wide range of targets and applicators (paper. cardstock, cardboard, clamps, staples, taped, etc.). The Portable Bullet Trap's face is covered with a Self-Healing Ballistic Rubber Ricochet Curtain substantially slowing down the projectile. Once the bullet passes through the rubber it goes inside the 4 cornered angled steel plates funneling the bullet into a narrow open slot at the back of plates. Through the slot the bullet travels inside a steel tube welded to the back of the angled steel plates. As the bullet travels through the plates slot, it meets with the curvature of the Collector Tube. As the bullet travels in a circular motion around the inside curvature of the tube, the bullet will collide with the inner stopping bar welded inside. Once the bullets collided the fragments will collect at the bottom of the tube. While each end of the Collector Tube is capped only the bottom cap is capable of loosening or completely coming off to clear the captured lead, inside the body tube. This projectile lead can later be recycled, melted down and used for reloading purposes, or environmentally/wild-life safe disposal.

The purchaser, being at least eighteen years of age, and in acceptance and use of BMoore Targets, LLC Portable Bullet Traps, does hereby agree to this waiver, and release of liability. Shooting steel targets always comes with a risk and is dangerous. Always wear eye protection and always have a minimum distance of at least 3 yards for pistol and 10 yards for rifle from the Portable Bullet Trap and your person. Always use proper safety precautions when handling and deposing of lead. Always wear eye protection while shooting and double check your ammunition.

Ammunition Type:

Full Metal Jacket Bullets (FMJ) - Most common form of lead bullets in use today, which are lead bullets with a copper jacket.  

Solid Lead Bullets - Made purely from lead. From hunting and self-defense, to target shooting at the range, soft cast lead bullets.  

Soft Point Rounds -  

Soft point rounds are a lot like full metal jacket rounds except the soft point part of the lead at the tip is left exposed. The point of this is that the lead should flatten upon impact.

Hard Cast Bullets - Made from lead alloys, and have additives like Antimony, silver, or tin, which make them a lot harder.   

AP (Armor Piercing) - isn’t made of lead but instead has an alloy core. These bullets are meant to shoot through thick armor.   

Shotguns – Do Not Use Shotguns with This Product.

All ballistic panels contain Aramid fabric encapsulated in layers of 100% recycled self-healing rubber. It is not the rubber stopping the velocity of the bullets, but the Aramid fabric layered between the rubber.

Aramid, short for aromatic polyamide, is a class of heat-resistant and strong synthetic fibers. They are used in aerospace and military applications, for ballistic-rated body armor fabric, ballistic composites, marine cordage, and marine hull reinforcement.

The chain molecules in the fibers are highly oriented along the fiber axis. As a result, a higher proportion of the chemical bond contributes more to fiber strength than in many other synthetic fibers. Aramid fabrics have comparably a very high melting point (>500 °C) to other ballistic panels on the market.
